 +====== Summary of meeting january 12 - 2005. ======

 +Weekly Writeup
 +
+As agreed the meeting started at 20:00 hrs Faroe Islands time.
 +
+Among several discussion points was the way the last weekly meeting had dredged on forever sending the participants into what came close to insomnia and severe moods.
 +
+From now on each meeting will be given a pre ordained time frame. Deviation from the timeframe will only be made in cases of emergency or if the participants can agree to this without discussion. i.e. prolonging meetings if important discussions are up and the participants in condition to continue these or shortening / abandoning meetings if one or more participants are incapable of taking part in the proceedings.
 +
+Shortening or abandoning a meeting will only be acceptible up to 3 times in a row by key members if they still wish to maintain control, before a thorough explanation and a valid reason is given in order to stay within the controlling group.
 +
+It was agreed that each meeting should progress from agenda points walking through each from a-e in the order the agenda is written up.
 +
+In a case where all points have not been discussed within the agreed timeframe binding agreements should be made to either meet up again within the next couple of days or to continue the meeting via a wiki discussion board where participants can collaborate asynchronously.
 +
+Other ways of continuing the meeting would be via !VoIP or e-mail as problems one can't solve immediatly often are resolved in a better way the following day after people have had a good nights sleep and time to think.
 +
+That way we can avoid huge discussions which can too often lead nowhere and as previously mentioned can evolve into rather tiresome collaborative efforts.
 +
+It was agreed that two hours (2 hrs) as a standard time frame for each weekly meeting was appropriate, but that deviations could be made as stated above.
 +
+As for posting things to the meeting agenda it was agreed that the poster should give an estimated time for each point of order he / she posts to our forum.
 +
+I case of having to shorten/alter the length or the meeting time every effort should be made to announce this as far ahead of the meeting as possible.
 +
+It was also agreed that the following points should always be on the agenda:
 +
+a) Approval of last weeks writeup - each participant gives his / her say and is allowed to comment if he / she feels there are misenterpretations or other discreppancies in the writeup, or if something is amiss.
 +
+b) Follow Up - We look at the assignments undertaken at the last meeting. Have goals been met? If not then why. Goals not met are moved to e) on the assignment list for the upcoming week.
 +
+c) Agenda - The agenda consists of points that participants want to discuss and have an opinion about which can be expressed in the collaboration wiki and discussed there so that the actual processing of the particular subject goes as smoothly as possible during the meeting itself.
 +
+d) Miscellaneous - When we have reached a consensus on points a to c we proceed to discussing miscellaneous matters. Anything project related goes here and matters need no be posted beforehand.
 +
+e) Assignments - This is a list of assignments for each team member. The assignments are handed out during the discussion of points a - d and once they are written up, each team member verifies the assignments he / she has received.
 +
+After going through a tough review a new site design was approved in order to give way for the old site which was not as friendly when it came to browsing the page with disability featured browsers.
 +
+The new design will consist of a radical split up of the information on the old site, and will forego things such as frames and pop up's
 +
+Another nod of approval was given to the administration teams collaboration wiki which so far seems to have functioned well.
 +
+Another point discussed was disabling any upload of files etc. to the upcoming wikis as a precursion against running low on MB on our site. For the developer/public wikis this action might be needed in order to safeguard against rampant uploads and unnescesary file traffic. These can then post links to outside pages unless they have received special FTP priveledges.
 +
+The support release Walter Kraft and the Alien Menace got some mentioning on a major Danish SCIFI board and sources have informed that a review is underway.
